ORGANIZATION: Soldiers' Angels - West Palm Beach

The VA Deputy Representative is responsible for working with the VA Representative to coordinate the efforts of Soldiers' Angels to support local veterans through the VA Medical Center to which they are assigned to support.

Duties include: Assist the VA Representative with recruiting, retention and recognition of volunteers, coordination of the Volunteer resources of Soldiers' Angels and all aspects of their participation in the VAVS program at the medical center, assist in planning special events and coordination of distribution of donated goods, outreach within the local community. Attend the annual evaluation of Soldiers' Angels participation in the VAVS program with the leadership of Soldiers' Angels and VA (annual joint review scheduled with the Chief of Voluntary Services) with the VA Representative.

Must be able to submit application to VA and participate in orientation offered by the VA VAVS office. Ability to attend committee meetings on a regular basis.
