Artist Mentor

Arts of Life advances the creative arts community by providing artists with intellectual and developmental disabilities a collective space to expand their practice and strengthen their leadership.

We need long term volunteers with an active creative process to advance our creative community. Volunteers should have passion and interest in visual design and artistic expression. At this time, Arts of Life is not able to have all its artists in the studio due to COVID-19. Our community is important and we are doing all we can to keep all our artists engaged in their practice at this time, remotely.

Currently only seeking virtual volunteers. Options to have in-person volunteering post-pandemic.

Responsibilities will include;

  • Assisting with set up and break down of projects
  • Providing artistic feedback
  • Documenting daily interactions
  • Discussing elements of design
  • Teaching and implementing new skills
  • Bringing your creative practice to our community
  • and relationship building
  • Leading and assisting with virtual programming sessions on Zoom

The North Shore studio is active Monday - Friday 9 am-3 pm

***UPDATE: Virtual programming is being offered Monday- Friday from 1 PM- 3 PM.
