We are searching for puppeteers to join The Beginning Alcohol and Addictions Basic Education Studies (BABES) program. This educational program is offered to elementary children in after-school program environments. Each presentation is in need of three puppeteers and one facilitator who narrates the puppet show and guides the children’s learning. All scripts and curriculum are provided and are easy to follow. This program runs for six weeks and requires a weekly time commitment of about one hour. This volunteering experience is perfect for families, high school and college students searching for a fun way to earn community service hours, and retired and senior volunteers who are looking for a fun and exciting way to work with children. BABES programs start up in late September and October and again in March. Please contact Ronda Seubert, RSVP Director at the Volunteer Center at ronda@volunteergb.org or at 920-429-9445 for more information.

Description
The Volunteer Center of Brown County builds a stronger community through volunteerism. We believe the strength of a community is directly related to its volunteers. Each year, we match thousands of volunteers with hundreds of local nonprofit partners to best utilize time and talent.
We also have several internal programs:
Retired/Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP): RSVP engages more than 208,000 people age 55 and older in a diverse range of volunteer activities across the country. Our RSVP staff members provide personalized assistance to match the volunteers’ interests, talents, and available time to current opportunities within their community.
Reading Coaches for Kids: Reading Coaches is a volunteer tutoring program designed to increase students’ reading abilities and academic success. Dedicated, caring volunteers provide consistency and educational support by working individually with students during the school day in K-5 classrooms throughout Brown County, helping them improve their reading skills.
Workplace Volunteer Council: The Workplace Volunteer Council is a local resource for encouraging, educating, and connecting businesses that support employee volunteer programs as a business strategy.
