Special Events Associate

The goal of this opportunity is to provide exposure to the full life-cycle of a high-yield fundraising event through a variety of event related projects, activities, and connections with a variety of event stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities for Special Events Associate role includes;

• Providing Logistical support including; event-day registration, signage, and staffing of event
• Communicating with outside vendor: contract negotiation and outreach
• Provide Event Committee operational support including; drafting of meeting agendas and note-taking during committee meetings when available
• Fact-checking of potential award recipients by phone and e-mail
• Conduct internet research for potential honorees and support the nomination process from beginning to end
• Provide general logistic and administrative assistance including; research vendors and award nominations
• Collaborate with event leadership on planning and execution of signature event
• Contribute to volunteer recruitment and the development of training materials
• Identify an area of interest to focus on a special project
• Establish communication workflow in collaboration with all stakeholders
