Volunteers help check clients in on a computer and distribute food directly to people in need. This is a perfect opportunity for individuals, students (must be 16 years old), and groups (rotate up your staff or members through one of the 5 positions each week)!
The Mobile Food Bank goes to 10 sites, one day per week, for two-hour sessions. Volunteers are asked to arrive 30 minutes early to help with setup and stay 30 minutes after the closing time to ensure everyone can get through the line. Volunteers have the opportunity to come out to a site one day per week or join in on a rotation where volunteers attend a site 1-2 times per month.

The mission of Emergency Food Network is "to provide Pierce County with a consistent, diverse and nutritious food supply so that no person goes hungry."
Description
"Currently, 1 in 10 people in Pierce County face food insecurity, and this need is continuing to rise. Through our 75+ Partner Programs (food pantries, meal sites, and shelters) all over Pierce County, EFN distributed over 14 million pounds of food in 2023 to our neighbors in need, including fresh produce grown at EFN’s Mother Earth Farm. This work was made possible by our 2,000+ volunteers, who worked over 12,000 hours in 2023. Volunteer work is vital in helping EFN pursue our mission of ensuring no person goes hungry. Volunteer opportunities include the Repack Project, Home Delivery, EFN’s Mother Earth Farm, and special events throughout the year. We hope you will join us!"
