Companionship
When you have so much to share, there’s so much you can do to help another — from something as simple as whispering a kind word to lending a helping hand to a family. There are many hospice volunteer opportunities with Good Shepherd Hospice that provide support in a variety of areas.

Hospice services are provided to patients in a variety of locations including; single family homes, apartments, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and hospice houses. Whether our patients are continuing to live independently in their own home or residing in a facility, all appreciate a visit from a friendly volunteer who is there to bring a warm smile to their day. Companionship volunteers can simply be there to engage in conversation, play games/cards, read out loud and/or offer support and encouragement.

Volunteers receive comprehensive training before being matched with patients . No previous experience in the medical field is necessary. Bilingual is a plus! Days and times are flexible and every role is valued.
