TITLE OF POSITION: Luz Maria Foundation, Social Media Content Creator

SUPERVISED BY: Scarlet Adames, Coordinator and Luz Maria Utrera, Founder

PURPOSE OF JOB: This is a volunteer position for a photographer looking for a way into the non-profit sector. To assist in all matters of advocacy for Luz Maria Foundation and current affiliations. The Foundation has recently partnered up with the SDG Action Campaign at the United Nations to help realize the 2030 Agenda, and with the City to bring mentoring programs to young girls and women all over the 5 boroughs. YOU CAN BE PART OF SOMETHING GREAT! We are also searching for a Photographer/ Graphic Designer to document the process as we go on.


ABOUT LUZ MARIA FOUNDATION:

Luz Maria Foundation Inc. is a 501(c)(3), tax exempt organization that helps women who are victims of domestic violence and women in need by providing the tools they need to move forward in their lives during their times of struggle.

We work and sign agreements to promote, defend and disseminate DDHH (human rights) for women, children and adolescents.

We work together with other human rights NGOs to create awareness about domestic violence in order to make a better and safer world for all.


DUTIES MAY INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  1. Produce Photographs and Videos for the Luz Maria Foundation social media and website.

  1. Assist with affiliate programs such as the UN’s 2030 Agenda.

  1. Create Social Media Content and actively advocate on your own social media.

  1. Assist with Field Trips, Meeting and Conferences.

  1. Use Photoshop or Canva to add design to the photographs when needed.

  1. Having a FLEXIBLE schedule is a MUST as we will ask to come to events with us to photograph.

COMMITMENT REQUIRED:

A minimum commitment of four-five hours per week for a 3-month period is required. Volunteer opportunities will be available Monday - Friday, and weekends as needed. Volunteer choosing to assist with the Mentoring Program must be available from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm (REQUIRED for PHOTOGRAPHERS as well). There is Flexibility in the schedule, we will work with your schedule as well.

QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED:

Must be age 18 or older
Reliable, responsible
Able to work independently
Able to accept supervision
Typing skills and computer skills helpful
Detail oriented
Good organizational skills helpful
Photography skills and graphic designer skills are a MUST!


TRAINING/ORIENTATION PROVIDED:

On-the-job suggestions provided by the Foundation.


LOCATION OF JOB:

Multiple locations throughout the city.
