Good Shepherd Hospice is committed to ensuring that veterans receive excellent care at end of life. Military veteran volunteers are needed provide visits for socialization, help with pinning ceremonies, help with replacing lost medals and many other meaningful activities for veterans who often face issues at end of life related to their military experience.
Veteran Volunteers provide support to hospice patients who live in their own homes, nursing homes, assisted living facilities or hospice houses.
Volunteers receive complimentary, comprehensive training before being matched with patients. No previous experience in the medical field is necessary. Days and times are flexible and every role is valued. There are also variety of opportunities to choose from based on your area(s) of interest, schedule and special gifts.
