This person or small group will plan & promote various small events for children, youth & adults to take place at the DC Ocean Centre. Examples include Story & Craft Times, Cheesy Movie nights, Painting w/ a Porpoise fundraisers, cooking classes, open houses, etc. Person needs to be computer literate, have a Facebook account, be very organized and be able to effectively arrange with local experts (chefs, artists, etc). 3-15 hrs/week.

Mission Statement
The mission of DARLING CETACEANS is to educate children of all ages about marine mammals, the marine environment and how humans utilize the marine environment; be a leading resource for marine mammal scientists and researchers; and to increase the amount of information known about marine mammal species.
Description
Involved with numerous projects on local and national level; including recycling at festivals, outreach programs in classrooms, scout programs, organizing environmental events (Muskegon Area Earth Week & Muskegon County Water Festival), beach clean-ups and water quality monitoring, amphibian surveys, temporary education displays, and collaborating with other eco-groups. Also, we are developing the Ocean Centre, an interactive museum & research center.
