Gleaners is partnering with the Renaissance Festival again this year. The festival is located 12600 Dixie Hwy, Holly, MI 48442. For every 4 food items donated, attendees will receive a coupon for $5 off their admission. We are looking for 4-6 volunteers per shift to collect donation near the festival entrance. We are looking for friendly volunteers to thank donors for their donations, provide discount coupons, gently place food donations in Gleaners vehicle and occasionally go to the ticket booth to see if any donations are taken there by accident. Volunteers will be provided with a food voucher to be used the day of their volunteer shift and 2 admission tickets to be used that day or any future date this season. adult and student volunteers aged 10 & up are welcomed. Any volunteers under 18 must volunteer with a parent or guardian.

For more than 40 years, Gleaners Community Food Bank has been "feeding hungry people and nourishing our communities." Last year, Gleaners distributed 42 million pounds of emergency food to 499 partner soup kitchens, shelters and pantries in Wayne, Oakland, Macomb, Livingston, and Monroe counties.
Of every dollar donated, Gleaners uses 97 cents for food and food programs. One dollar provides three meals for a hungry neighbor.
