Compassion Ministries
Each year, Florida Baptist Children’s Homes provides more than 50,000 services to children and families through Compassion Ministries - providing food, clothing, diapers and other items to those in crisis. In addition to meeting tangible needs through this ministry, we are also able to provide for the intangible needs of children, bringing life-changing support to families.
Volunteering Opportunities Overview
The primary responsibility of this volunteer position is to work in the Harold Clark Simmons Compassion Center. Volunteers are connected to a role that is rewarding to them and essential to Compassion Ministries. Opportunities include clerical helpers, food puller, sorting room helpers, boutique host/hostess, family assessing. Let's find a role that fits your interests and skills!
Minimum of one half a day a month, Saturday morning, and a minimum of a six month period of commitment is desired. Weekday opportunties are available as well. Please review our other posts to learn more about our current opportunities to volunteer.

Our vision is to bring hope to hurting children, to show that the love of Jesus changes lives and to impact the life of one more child.
From the opening of our first orphanage in 1904 to our present-day ministries that have expanded to provide safe, stable, Christian homes and services to children and families in need across the state and around the globe, we are honored to be helping children in tangible ways. Whether it’s providing clean diapers to a newborn baby, food for a hungry child, safety for an abused child, or foster or adoptive homes to children in crisis, we work to share with children who have been abused, neglected and abandoned the protective and healing love of Jesus.
