SoCal Parrot is a 501(c)3 non-profit which provides rescue, care, and rehabilitation for southern California's wild parrots. When a parrot is injured or orphaned, they are given care at our sanctuary in Jamul. We are seeking a few enthusiastic, reliable folks to help with our social media presence. This role can be done at our sanctuary or virtually.

As a SoCal Parrot Social Media Assistant, you can expect to spend 2 to 4 hours every week helping to:

  • Select articles/links related to our organization to be shared on our social media channels
  • Come up with contests, facts, trivia, etc, that we can use to engage and capture more followers
  • Assist our Operations Manager with advertisements and fundraising requests that are posted.
The main requirement for this position is familiarity with our organization, brand, and current social media practices. We will provide all training, guidance, and information needed to ensure you are successful with this role.

This is a new role for our organization, so we are very open to working with you to update our current social media practices.
