The Library's aquarium is a favorite among our patrons, young and old, but keeping it clean is time-consuming for our small staff. A volunteer who has an interest and knowledge about aquariums and fish would be a perfect fit for this volunteer opportunity. One time per week for an hour would be all the time required.
As part of the maintenance routine, the duties would be:
- Testing the water
- Removing wastewater, and replacing with fresh water
- Cleaning aquarium walls
- Rinsing filter inserts
- Inspecting all parts for proper operation
- Cleaning aquarium top

Description
The libraries in the Llano County Library System - Llano Main Library, Kingsland Branch Library and Lakeshore Branch Library - realize the asset that skilled volunteers are to a community. The Libraries are seeking to engage persons with the skills and talents to serve in a multitude of areas within the Libraries. Skilled volunteers will work with Library staff on current projects and programs designed to engage and inform the community, and will be instrumental in the development of new services. Opportunities abound for persons interested in using their skills for the betterment of the community they live in and care about.
