Northwest Harvest provides food to more than 375 food banks, meal programs, and high need schools across the state. At our Kent warehouse, we need the help of many caring and energetic volunteers to take bulk product and convert it to family-sized units for distribution to people experiencing the crisis of hunger. You will be amazed how much you can accomplish in just one 2 hour shift!
We are gearing up for a busy holiday season and we are looking for individuals, families, and groups who might be available to help us for a weekday, daytime shift in September. Our goal is to get lots of food packed and ready to fill food bank shelves as we head into the fall months!
Are you available for a weekly, occasional or one-time weekday, daytime shift in September? Individuals are definitely welcome, or perhaps you'd like to organize your team from work or a group of friends?
Our weekday, daytime schedule in September:
Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays & Fridays
10am - 12pm and 1pm - 3pm
Groups:
Large groups, small groups and individuals are all welcome!
Shift capacity is 120 volunteers, but group size availability will depend on the remaining open spots for your preferred dates.
Where to start? Go to www.northwestharvest.org to fill out an application and then a member of our team will get back to you quickly.
Thank you so much!
Please note: Northwest Harvest is unable to provide community service hours for any court-related purposes.
