llinois Center for Autism is making final preparations for their annual family friendly bicycle event, Pedal for Autism, which is Saturday, August 26, 2017 on the Madison County Transit Trails. Once again, we are starting and finishing at the Metro East Parks & Recreation Building, 104 United Drive, Collinsville, IL.

This year's event includes a 2, 9, 26, 40 and a 60 mile route. This event requires several volunteers to make this event successful. Some of the duties include manning stations out on the trail to provide directions to riders or to render assistance in the event of a bicycle breakdown or an injury, manning water stations, helping with set-up/take down of pop-up canopies, set-up/take down of tables, helping with general set-up such as icing down water in coolers, etc. and of course, packing everything away at the end of the event. Typically, volunteers are needed at his/her assigned location from 6 a.m. through 10:30 a.m. (give or take).
