Position Overview:

Are you excited about technology? Do you have a passion for helping others? This is an opportunity to work with Library employees to assist adults in improving their basic computer skills while also encouraging them to develop a broader comfort with technology. The goal of the weekly Auburn Library computer class is to allow individuals to improve their computer skills and increase their knowledge of modern technology in a safe and casual small class environment. The classes are learner driven, emphasize hands-on computer use, and encourage frequent questions.


  • Must have a strong knowledge of basic technology and computer skills including Microsoft Office, Email basics, Internet basics, and Google applications (Gmail, Google Drive)
  • Must possess patience, flexibility, dependability, and excellent oral communication skills
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English proficiently and clearly
  • Livescan clearance is required and provided free of charge
  • Age 18 or older
Training Provided:

  • One-on-one training session on computer class protocols
  • Individual assistance from staff
