ORGANIZATION: Grants To You

Grants To You (GTU) is a nonprofit 501c3 that has been operative since 2002. Since that time, volunteers have won $4.0 million on behalf of the nonprofits of their choice. Further, GTU has three chapters located in Saratoga County, NY, Yavapai County, AZ and Ventura County, CA. In addition, online classes are offered for those volunteers who prefer live classes as opposed to the online classes that are also offered or who do not live in a location which would enable them to take live classes. That said, the board of directors is seeking a Vice President of the board who will replace the current President in the event that he should not be able to carry out his duties which are in short to manage and grow the nonprofit so that more and more volunteers are introduced to GTU and who choose to take classes and then assist a nonprofit of their choice to raise grant money in order to meet their mission and goals.

Mission Statement

To utilize the talent and availability of community volunteers who are computer literate and who wish to assist their favorite, local nonprofit agency in their never ending quest for funds by helping them with their grant writing and research.

Description

Through its various locations and online, Grants To You provides very low cost training in grant writing and research to volunteers who are computer literate, who have a strong interest in supporting their community and who have the time to devote to the completion of projects assigned by their designated non-profit agency(s).

As a result of this training, the Grants To You class serves to enhance and help fulfill the lives of volunteers and in addition provides the opportunity for "community service credits" and knowledge tools to students.
