Volunteer Support and Gear (SAG) & Navigators Needed!

A new way to experience Bike MS. Take a front seat during ride weekend by volunteering as a SAG driver or navigator.

Overview. SAG vehicles transport cyclists who are unable to ride to the next rest stop
Event Dates: October 78, 2017 + Mandatory training

Requirements:

  • Minimum commitment of 40 volunteer hours (including mandatory training, rental pick-up and drop-off and SAG duties event weekend)
  • SAG volunteers volunteer the entire weekend from 06:00am (approx) to close of the course each day
  • SAG volunteers must pass a criminal background check and driver record screening as well as complete an online driver safety training

Desired Skills & Qualifications:
  • Possess average visual acuity; the ability to drive a large 15-passenger van or box truck through tight rider and pedestrian areas
  • Ability to life up to 40 pounds, such as a large bicycle
  • Ability to practice patience and handle high-pressure situations
Bike MS is more than a ride. It's an experience grounded in camaraderie and marked by passion, inspiration, determination and pure enjoyment. It'll be a volunteer experience you'll never forget, shared with new friends and old.

Take part in a unique volunteer experience. Bike MS: Valero Ride to the River is a two-day fundraising cycling event where participants pedal through San Antonio and New Braunfels to raise funds and awareness of MS.
