AccentCare of Colorado Hospice is seeking compassionate volunteers to provide companionship to hospice patients who live in the Longmont area. Volunteers are truly the heart of hospice and are an important part of our hospice team. Hospice is specialized care that helps manage symptoms at the end of someone's life. We serve people in their homes or wherever they call home in Larimer, Weld, Boulder and Adams Counties. We are especially in need to volunteers to visit patients in the Berthoud/Longmont area. Hospice uses an interdisciplinary team of nurses, social workers, chaplains, nursing assistants and volunteers to bring comfort, support and guidance to patients and families walking the end-of-life journey. Our hospice volunteers will have many opportunities to make a difference in our community. No experience with hospice is necessary - we will provide all the training you need to become a hospice volunteer - so give us a call or send us an email now to get the process started! Along with some other paperwork requirements, we do require a background check, TB test and drug screen.
