The 2018 hurricane season has been extraordinarily active in parts of the U.S., with Hurricane Florence currently impacting millions in the Carolinas. Helper/Tutor: Work with refugee high school students are our weekly after school program. Help students prepare to graduate high school and to find a place to feel supported and belong by helping with homework, cultural activities, English conversation or simply just making friends and laughter.
Mentor: Develop relationships with high school refugee students and help prepare them for graduation and life after high school. A mentor provides support for social and emotional development, insight into American culture, and additional support for students who are navigating their new life in the US as teenagers.
