Help support Atlanta Habitat for Humanity’s mission by volunteering in the ReStore. The Atlanta Habitat ReStore sells new and gently used furniture, home accessories, building materials, and appliances at a fraction of the retail price. Each time someone shops, donates or volunteers at the ReStore, they are helping Atlanta Habitat transform communities through neighborhood revitalization, education, innovative development and partnerships.
There are several ways to volunteer:
Sales Floor Support Volunteer: Help customers on the sales floor, as well as clean and organize the store.
Loading Dock/ PickupVolunteer: Help load heavy items into customer’s cars or help pick up donations from around Atlanta.
Processing Volunteer: Help clean, sort, and label donations that come into the Restore.
All volunteers are required to attend a one hour orientation. After attending, you will be able to register for a ReStore volunteer shift online. Full and half-day shifts are available Monday - Saturday from 10 am - 5:30 pm.

Mission Statement
Atlanta Habitat for Humanity transforms communities by acting as a catalyst for neighborhood revitalization through education, innovative development, partnerships, and long term relationships with families.
Description
Since 1983, Atlanta Habitat has built more than 1,450 homes in the City of Atlanta and Fulton County, housing approximately 5,000 individual family members.
Atlanta Habitat spends approximately 85 cents of every dollar on construction and homeowner programs and services.
Families must qualify to purchase an Atlanta Habitat home by being a first time homebuyer, having a household of 2-8 people, proving steady income and good credit, and having lived or worked in the City of Atlanta or surrounding counties for at least one year. Atlanta Habitat builds with families who are unable to purchase homes on the open market because their incomes- typically 30-50% of area median- do not qualify them for traditional financing.
Homebuyers lease their houses for the first year, during which they are required to contribute 250 hours of "sweat equity" on their home and others, make timely payments, care for the property, and attend 12 Homeowner Education classes through Atlanta Habitat.
After this lease period, homebuyers assume a 25-30 year no profit, no interest mortgage. Average monthly payments include property taxes, pest control, homeowner's insurance, and a maintenance savings account.
Mortgage payments from current Homeowners go directly to furthering our mission.
