Fun, useful volunteer jobs are open at Minneapolis Adult Education. ELL (ESL) volunteers lead reading groups, facilitate conversation practice, help with basic writing and computer skills (mouse, keyboard, email, tutor 1:1, or help in other ways with the lesson of the day. Schedules are available M-Th morning and evening. The time commitment is 1-3 hours per week, depending on the job.
Training is provided. Experience is not needed. It is not necessary to speak another language.

Help adults acquire the skills, and provide the support, to pursue education and employment goals.
Description
Minneapolis Adult Education provides free classes in ESL, reading, writing, math, basic computer skills, and transition to work and college. Classes are available in the morning, afternoon, and evening. We are part of Minneapolis Community Education, Minneapolis Public Schools.
Volunteers participate once an week, for an hour or more depending on the class. We ask for a commitment of 3 months. Service learning has a different minimum.
