Blind Spot cares for over 70 farm animals

Come and volunteer with us!

Blind Spot Animal Sanctuary is a wonderful nonprofit, a (501(c)(3)), no-kill animal sanctuary based in Rougemont, NC. Blind Spot Animal Sanctuary provides lifelong, loving care to neglected and homeless farm animals, placing those who are adoptable in forever homes.

At Blind Spot we rehabilitate and care for animals that once found themselves surrendered to high kill shelters, abandoned, and exploited. We admit animals with disabilities, the sick, the starved and fat blind ones. Our Organization focuses on those animals that often get overlooked due to species, age, color or disability. While Blind Spot rescues all type of farm animals such as horses, goats, chickens, ducks, and peacocks, it is our focus to help potbellied pigs as these are some of the most mistreated and misunderstood animals. From over 70 animals in our care, we care for 30 potbellied pigs.

We hold volunteer days almost every Saturday from 11am-1pm aswell as during the week. You have to sign up for each volunteer day. Some of the tasks include feeding, filling up water bowls, cleaning, scooping poop, helping clean the horse barn, socialize animals, etc...

We also have other opportunities such as grant writing, volunteer coordination and assistance with the website.

Come volunteer with us and help us save more lives!
