Clothes To Kids of Fairfield County is looking for volunteers to help fill a variety of positions, some examples of which are detailed below. Since we are a new non-profit in the Fairfield County area this is an opportunity to get involved early and help us grow!
1. Outreach - Volunteer to help coordinate outreach to social services, public school administrators, private school administrators and Fairfield County clothing stores to help spread the word about Clothes To Kids of Fairfield County.
2. Inventory - volunteer to participate in an inventory day when we organize and take inventory of recent clothing donations. This is a volunteer opportunity in which highschool kids may participate.
3. Marketing - Spent some time working from home and help spread the word about Clothes To Kids of Fairfield County.
Although our store is located in Stamford, CT many of our volunteer opportunities can be done remotely, such as our outreach volunteer positions, and there are additional volunteer opportunities other than those listed above.
**Note - although some of our volunteer opportunities may be done remotely one requirement is that you live in or near Fairfield County, CT.

To provide new and quality used clothing to low-income or in-crisis, school-age children in Fairfield County, Connecticut--free of charge. Clothes To Kids envisions a community in which every school age child has quality clothing so that he or she may attend school with the confidence and self-esteem needed to achieve academic success.
Description
Clothes To Kids of Fairfield County is a non-profit serving the Fairfield County, CT area. We believe well-fitting clothing, in which a child feels comfortable, can help build a child's feeling of self-confidence. Low-income or in-crisis school-aged children who live in the Fairfield County area will be able to come to our "store" to shop for free gently-used or new clothing, which we acquire through donations and purchases, in which they feel comfortable and confident. In order to shop at CTKF, a family may either use their official notification letter regarding their child's participation in their public school's free lunch program or a family can obtain a letter of referral from an approved community advocate. Each eligible child will be allowed to "shop" for a week's worth of clothing, subject to the store's clothing availability.
