It's flexible! We'll work with your schedule.

36 Hancock Street1332 Massachusetts AvenueLexington, MA 02420
Hancock-Clarke House
This was Paul Revere's destination on his famous midnight ride. Visitors enjoy hearing the stories of the night of April 18, 1775, as well as learning about the Hancock and Clarke families.

The Lexington Historical Society is seeking volunteers to welcome visitors into the historic Hancock-Clarke House and Munroe Tavern. The greeter will be responsible for taking and selling tickets and answering questions. Hours and days are flexible as the houses are open seven days a week.

Volunteering with the Lexington Historical Society is rewarding and fun. In addition to being a great way to get involved in the community, our volunteers are part of an organization of national significance. Volunteers will be invited to special events, updated on developments within the organization, and they enjoy free admission to all three historic house museums: Hancock-Clarke House, Munroe Tavern, and Buckman Tavern.

Students, teachers, retirees, and anyone with an interest in history are encouraged to apply.

The Historic Houses open April 7, 2018 and close for the season in October 2018
