ORGANIZATION: Volunteers of America Northern Colorado Services

Hands

Join the Little Thompson Observatory team as they provide children and adults the chance to view the universe up close! Volunteering at LTO is enjoyable, interesting, and fulfilling! Many of LTO's new volunteers have no experience in astronomy so they have an excellent training program and opportunities to serve while you learn. And, of course, people with astronomy, science, and/or math backgrounds are highly encouraged to share their knowledge at LTO! Volunteer jobs include helping with group organization, speaking to groups, doing AV presentations, and assisting with the telescopes. If you prefer a "behind the scenes" opportunity to help, general labor volunteers help with cleaning and light construction projects. The volunteer schedule is flexible; after training, volunteers check the event schedule and sign up online. Volunteers are encouraged to participate in an event at least once per month. Sign up to help more and you are an LTO hero!
