This is very important work! Really, this is one of the most important "jobs" in our cattery. To insure the health and wellbeing of the close to 150 kitties who call Pets Alive home, our cattery rooms are cleaned top to bottom 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
Kitty Assistants work hand in hand with our cattery staff. Pets Alive is a cage free environment with 11 communal rooms including a kitten nursery. Our assistants help maintain overall cleanliness of our rooms while also socializing and playing with our cats and kittens.
Kitty Assistants should be able to bend and lift repeatedly. Assistants are also exposed to various cleaning agents including bleach.
The bulk of the cleaning is done in the morning between the hours of 9-12pm. Afternoon hours for socializing the cats is welcome too.

Description
Pets Alive is a no-kill animal rescue, located in the foothills of the Catskill Mountains. Animals at the sanctuary range from dogs and cats to farm animals. Many of the animals at Pets Alive are older, have special needs or require rehabilitation.
Since 2007 Pets Alive has helped close to 7,000 ANIMALS in need! Through programs such as: adoptions, rescue, humane education, TNR (Trap Neuter Return), improving adoptability, kitty finishing school, pet chow pantry, and barn buddies.
