Are you passionate about supporting the emotional wellness of new mothers and families experiencing perinatal mood and anxiety disorders? If so, Postpartum Education and Support, 501(c)3, is looking to expand their Board of Directors! Postpartum Education and Support (PES) works to increase awareness, provide support, and advance education surrounding Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders.
Responsibilities and Duties of PES Board of Director include:
- Support the Mission Statement of PES
- Be a donor to PES by contributing a monthly or making annual financial gift
- Share skills and expertise
- Identify and help the Executive Director cultivate and solicit individual donors
- Respect and support the majority decisions of the Board
- Volunteer and assist in PES’s programs and activities, including fundraising efforts
- Participate actively in Board meetings, actions, fundraisers, and public events
- Have no more than three (3) consecutive unexcused absences from board meetings
- Serve on at least one (1) PES subcommittee
- Participate in one (1) or more additional PES activities per quarter outside of board/committee meetings
- Represent and respect all those whom this organization serves regardless of race, color, nationality, sexual orientation, creed, or religion
- Declare conflicts of interest as it pertains to your position on the Board and abstain from voting when appropriate
- Do your best to ensure that PES is well-maintained, financially secure, growing, and always operating in the best interest of the mothers and families we serve
