ORGANIZATION: Project Lift

This volunteer opportunity will require someone with a fun, enganging, and relatable personality to help engage students and parents on the importance of volunteering. The session will be in 20-minute increments from 1:00 - 4:00 pm. Help parents and students identify a project within their community students can help with by brainstorming and asking what they care about. Also, provide tips for students to think about when deciding to volunteer or create a community service project.

Description

Project LIFT, a non-profit 501(c)3 organization, is a performance based mentoring program that provides participants with a personal mentor (Coach) to help them improve their academic performance and enhance their abilities to withstand daily challenges as a teen. During the school year, students attend academic and personal development sessions. During these sessions students focus on their goals and how to achieve them. These sessions provide academic support, mentor and peer accountability, and life skills development.
