American Heritage Care Center is looking for special volunteers who can help with providing fun activities for our wonderful residents afternoons, evenings and weekends. Evenings and weekends can get very long for our residents and volunteers can provide a break in that monotony by engaging our residents in fun and interesting activities. We are looking for people who like to create fun moments for seniors in a nursing home setting. Some of the ways volunteers can help are:
Reminisce with residents
Sharing skills with the residents (eg. Crafts, painting, baking, etc)
Leading a small group activity (eg. Reminiscing, trivia, reading a book, etc. playing games)
Leading discussion groups
Reading to residents
Manicures
1:1’s with residents for those whose family is unable to visit regularly

Hammond Health Services is a leading provider of long-term skilled nursing care and short-term rehabilitation solutions. Our 50 bed center offers a full continuum of services and care focused around each individual in today's ever-changing healthcare environment.
Hammond Health Services serves St. Croix, Polk, Pierce and Dunn Counties. We are located in a peaceful and scenic area overlooking the Hammond Golf Course and Village Park. Heritage Court is located next door. Our center is Medicare and Medicaid certified.

- Background Check
- Orientation or Training
- 2-3x/month or weekly for 1-2 hours
- Must be willing and able to wear a medical mask and have periodic Covid-19 testing done, provided by facility, when volunteering. All Volunteers must provide proof of Covid-19 vaccinations. Background check is required for all volunteers.
