Every Sunday morning we serve a free hot breakfast to the community, drive thru style. Volunteer opportunities are available for serving and cooking as well as clean up. We start cooking at 7am and finish by 9:30 am. Closed toe shoes, shirt with sleeves and hair ties for long hair are required. No cooking experience necessary, just a willingness to serve. Some jobs are indoors (cooking and serving food into containers) and a couple include greeting our guests and serving them their meals. Volunteers should arrive by 7:30.
In over 10 years, we have served over 15,000 breakfasts. We started serving restaurant style, but since the pandemic, we are serving a take out meal of scrambled eggs, bacon or sausage, pancakes, tator tots, juice and fruit. Currently, we prepare and serve approximately 150 breakfasts.
Masks and gloves (provided) are required for those working with food not in containers.
