Well!!! What do you know... We are gearing up for our 2nd Annual Total Teen Takeover 2018. Because of the over whelming success and participation of the teens last year we've decided to make this an all county event. We are targeting the North, South, East, and West parts of town. Our base headquarters will be the Salvation Army and once we have prepped and packed we will disburse over town. This is a great opportunity for your teenagers to come out and learn about giving back as they serve those who are are less fortunate..
Here is how it will work:
There will be two days for your teen to have an opportunity to serve, January 13th and January 20th. They can either server all day (12:00pm-6:30pm) or in shifts, the prep shift and the service shift. The Prep shift will serve from 12:00pm-3:00pm. In that shift the teens will prep and cook menu items, pack and bag Survival Kits for the homeless. The Service shift will serve from 3:00pm-6:30pm and in this shift the teens will serve the homeless at the respective location, hand out survival kits, and clean the area.
We would like to honor Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr and the service that he provided by serving the homeless population. We feel this is the great way to honor his legacy..

HOPEFUL, INC. is a non-profit initiative aimed at providing HOPE and the basic essentials for the homeless population. While assisting the homeless in gaining and sustaining self-sufficiency, understand how hard it can be when you have lost all HOPE, when times are tough, money is tight, and you have no place to live. We HOPE to eradicate homelessness by providing the necessary resources needed to re-establish their HOPE by providing food, shelter, and other necessities our HOPEFULs will require to sustain them.
Description
HOPEFUL has been working with needy families and individuals in our community that are severely suffering with homelessness. They are going without proper food, shelter, and other essential needs due to a variety of factors including, but not limited to, sustainable or under employment, past felony convictions, mental illness, or domestic violence. While we are all susceptible to matters beyond our control trials and tribulations affect all of us and puts our community at risk We are working to eliminate the barriers so that they can function in a way that sustains and elevates them to self-sufficiency. We are their navigators of HOPE.
