Foster & Banks Walk in Faith Foundation (F&BWIFF) is a GREEN, environmentally friendly 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization which implements training in all core operations, outreach, and programming to promote environmental awareness, accountability, and responsibility for the community. We are a social service foundation created to support, educate, and guide "at risk" children and families located in Los Angeles County. The primary goal of the Foundation is to address the needs of and provide services and support to "at-risk" children, adolescents and young adults experiencing crisis, and those with developmental or learning disabilities. Programs include tutoring designed to improve skills and capitalize on strengths, music classes to stimulate individuality and creativity, and workshops like self-esteem building & mentoring to foster the confidence needed for youth to be successful in the community. The Foundation also offers programs like adult support groups, family game nights, and other programs for the families of these children to help create more positive and functional family systems.

Students gain unique and valuable professional experience that links their academic coursework to the disciplines they want to pursue for their careers. To gain this experience, students will engage in projects and tasks that contribute to the professional work of Foster & Banks Walk in Faith Foundation. This means that the F&BWIFF benefits from the work of the intern while, at the same time, it provides a meaningful experience that allows for the application of academic knowledge. Our focus areas include:
nonprofit operations & development, environment, education, health & wellness, youth and family services, community outreach, women’s empowerment, fundraising, and social justice.
