HODC is looking for board members committed to expanding affordable housing options in Chicago's northern suburbs. We are open to all with any relevant experience and/or unique perspectives or skills to contribute in helping us make an impact. Board meetings are generally Thursday evenings (live and via Zoom) and committee meetings, on-site events, and other board activities occur throughout the week but are not required.

Housing Opportunity Development Corporation's mission is to develop, manage and preserve housing that is affordable to low- and moderate-income households primarily in Chicago’s northern suburbs.

Description

HODC is a community-based nonprofit affordable housing developer founded in 1983. To date HODC has completed over 33 affordable housing projects with over 500 units and manages over 500 affordable apartments throughout the suburbs. HODC’s tenants include senior citizens, people with disabilities, working individuals, young families, and single parents.
