Doctors Without Borders is looking for passionate volunteers to raise awareness about the refugee migrant crisis at our exhibition.
We are coming to Boulder’s Pearl Street Mall from Monday, September 4 - Sunday, September 10 with our Forced From Home exhibition.
Forced From Home is a free interactive exhibition designed to expose the realities of the global refugee crisis. More than 65 million people are now displaced worldwide, including refugees and asylum seekers whose lives are further endangered by policies that deny them protection. With experienced Doctors Without Borders aid workers leading the tour, visitors engage with stories and materials gathered from refugee camps, sea rescue missions, and emergency medical projects around the world. Participants gain a deeper understanding of the challenges facing people who have been forced from home, and of humanitarian efforts to help them.

We are seeking enthusiastic, friendly, and reliable volunteers to help us staff the Forced From Home exhibition and some panel and film screening events that will happen alongside the exhibit.
Exhibition Volunteers will help with a variety of roles on-site at the exhibition and events, including: crowd management, visitor registration, virtual reality tent support, and logistics support.
There are two volunteer shifts each day:
- Morning shift from 8 a.m. - 2 p.m.
- Afternoon shift from 1 p.m. - 7 p.m.
All volunteer shifts are a minimum of six hours, and those who volunteer for both shifts in a single day will receive a free lunch. We encourage you to work multiple shifts, on the same day or different days!

All volunteers must be at least 18 years old on the day they volunteer for the exhibition. There is no upper age limit to participate, however volunteers should be comfortable being on their feet (potentially in inclement weather) while on site.
