The social media volunteer will assist in posting daily content for our Instagram account @namimiami. We post different memes, flyers, and information about resources and local events.
Volunteer must feel comfortable with mental health topics however no former mental health experience is needed other than compassion and desire to advocate against the stigma associated with mental health.
What we expect:
- one appropriate Instagram post daily, does NOT have to be original content though if you are an artist/graphic designer, that's a plus
-must be responsive to emails, especially during times of social media campaigns/large events

The National Alliance on Mental Illness of Miami-Dade County is an affiliate of the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness. Approximately 1 in 5 Americans will experience a mental illness in a given year, yet only 41% will receive the mental health services they need and deserve. In advocating for the understanding of the complexity of mental health and expelling myths, educating the public, and showing support for the many people affected by mental illness that are working to improve their lives, NAMI Miami-Dade County offers free, safe, and confidential mental health support, education, and advocacy to peers and their families and friends throughout the county in both English and Spanish.
