About Parts of Peace:
Parts of Peace is an emerging nonprofit with a mission to support families in Baltimore city and surrounding counties by providing family support services and connecting families to existing resources. We currently run two programs:
- Emergency Assistance Program (provides non-financial resources to families in cases of temporary emergencies)
- Family Academy - 6 month program that provides non-financial resources (non-perishable foods, fresh produce, pesonal hygiene items, household cleaning items) as well as case management and financial counseling. The goal of this program is to help families transition from temporary hardship to lasting inpedendence.
Position Summary:
Parts of Peace is a seeking a Community Outreach Volunteer to attend community events and set up a table for Parts of Peace (all materials will be provided). This volunteer will spread the word about our services, have community members sign up for our email list, or apply to our programs. This is a great position for a social person that likes to mix and mingle with community members for a good cause!
