Run Wild for the Detroit Zoo is an annual fundraising 5K/10K/15K run and fun walk through the streets of Huntington Woods just north of the Detroit Zoo. Funds from this event support veterinary care of the Zoo's animals.

Volunteers are needed to act as course marshals along the race route. Course marshals ensure that runners stay on course and that traffic is managed. Volunteers work in teams of two and three. Each volunteer receives a stylish run t-shirt and free admission to the post-race party inside the Zoo. Volunteers will receive instructions upon check-in. They will then be transported by tram to the street corner they are assigned.

Volunteers must be 16 years or older (with an adult) and sign a waiver of liability.
