GLSEN Washington State is looking for a detail oriented and organized person to become our next Board Secretary. The Secretary keeps minutes of all board meetings and ensures that our documentation is accurate and sufficient. This position works closely with the Board Chair to prepare the agenda for meetings and is the go-to person for the Chapter's records.

At GLSEN, we want every student, in every school, to be valued and treated with respect, regardless of their sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression. We believe that all students deserve a safe and affirming school environment where they can learn and grow.
GLSEN Washington State provides training and resources to students, educators and community partners to make Washington schools more inclusive for all students.
GLSEN WA is a volunteer-run organization, meaning every success we have is credited to the dedication of our amazing volunteers. We would not be able to achieve our mission without the passion for equality that underlies the thousands of volunteer hours that are committed each year. It is thanks to their leadership that we are able to do what we do:
Provide resources to any educator or student in the state of Washington who requests one
Connect with students to build leadership opportunities
Provide Professional Development to Educators to make their schools more inclusive
Support districts with creating inclusive policies
Present an annual conference for educators and students to create space for learning, leading, and networking
