The South Minneapolis Food Shelf provides well-balanced food to low income families and individuals in need of nutritional food support. Volunteers assist by stocking and maintaining a neat and orderly food pantry as well as walking clients through the food shelf while helping them self-select food items.
Shifts available:
Monday: 9-11 am (stocking shift), food shelf 1:30-3:00 pm
Tuesday: 9:00-11:00 am
Wednesday: 1:00-3:00 pm
Thursday: 9:00 -11:00 am

Description
The Salvation Army offers social services and recreational programs with the goal of addressing specific physical, emotional, spiritual, and social needs of each family, individual, child/youth, or elderly person. Services provided include, but not limited to: emergency food shelves, school supply programs, rental/utility assistance, educational programs, outreach to the homeless, family and youth camping, community center programs, Christmas assistance programs, nursing home visitations, corrections programs, and disaster services.
