The American Kidney Fund is looking volunteers with any medical background to assist at the Southern Women's Show in Birmingham, AL by performing a blood pressure reading and explaining the results to the participant. This event is part of a national effort to increase awareness of kidney disease and its two leading risk factors (diabetes and high blood pressure), while encouraging individuals to get and stay healthy.
We are looking for 4 volunteers for each of the following days:
Dates: Thursday October 5 th (10am - 7pm)
Friday October 6 th (10am - 8pm)
Saturday October 7 th (10am - 7pm)
*At least 4 volunteers per day*
Location: Birmingham-Jefferson Convention Complex
Definition of a Volunteer: Volunteers are extraordinary people who reach outside the limits of expected financial compensation, and their normal obligations, to contribute their time and service to a cause they believe will benefit the lives of others.
Attire: All volunteers are to wear clothing that is comfortable and presentable. They may wear scrubs or their organizations t-shirt
