Memories in the Making is the signature art program of Alzheimer’s Orange County, allowing persons with memory loss an opportunity to communicate through images, especially when speech has been affected by the disease.
The Art Facilitator position is open to anyone interested in learning how to use art as a communication tool for individuals with Alzheimer's and related dementia. No art experience is necessary! Volunteers will lead one class a month at an adult day center or memory care community. Currently, all classes are held on weekdays, during business hours.
Memories in the Making seeks to enhance quality of life through:

- Brain Exercise
- Social Engagement
- Improved Self Esteem
- Stress Relief
- Self-expression, verbal and non-verbal
Our next training session will be held on February 16th, 8:30 am - 12:30 pm. Requirements: Orientation and Training, online HIPAA one hour course, background check.

The Alzheimer's Orange County is a non-profit agency. We are funded through personal donations, grants, fundraisers and donations from large corporations. Alzheimer's Orange County provides support, information and education to Alzheimer's individuals and their families, friends and co-workers.
