We facilitate Equine Assisted Learning primarily with children using the EAGALA model.
- Need licensed therapists to work on site in San Tan Valley, AZ. Sessions are conducted outdoors with client and horses.
Mental Health Professional must meet these requirements:
1) Professional needs to have university-level educational training and degree in a mental health field, such as social work, psychology, marriage and family therapy, or others that include mental health as its scope of practice.
2) Professional must stay within his/her scope of practice and follow region, country, or state laws and regulations regarding mental health practice.
3) Professional needs to be under a governing board/body or member of an association that can hold him/her accountable (or under professional supervision by a supervisor that is held accountable by a governing board/association), i.e. a board that can revoke registration, certification, accreditation, or licensure for ethical or scope of practice violations relating to mental health practice. (Note: In the United States, licensure as a mental health professional is required).

3 Wings of Life is a faith based, non-profit organization, dedicated to embracing the unique needs of the children in our community. Children today are faced with a multitude of challenges and choices. We strive to offer all that we can to affect them in a positive way by providing Equine Assisted Therapy, along with a variety of activities that teach life skills in a Christ- centered environment.
Description
We are certified by EAGALA (Equine assisted growth and learning assoc.) to provide equine therapy and/or equine learning sessions. These sessions are conducted on the ground with a licensed therapist and equine specialist in San Tan Valley, AZ. Equine therapy is effective in helping with the following conditions:
Addictions - Depression - Anxiety - PTSD - Grief - Behavioral issues - Relationship issues
We are certified through Pet Partners to bring our miniature horse to your school or organization as a therapuetic tool (much like the therapy dogs for hospitals).
We offer therapeutic riding lessons in addition to our other programs.
We primarily work with children but are available for adults including Veterans.
