If you know how to use GIS tools and practices (ArcGIS), you can help create a heat map of our two-county area. The map will show diabetes prevalence, Family Service Association service centers, and current/potential Mobile Fresh Program sites.
FSA Mobile Fresh is a grocery store on wheels that promotes healthy eating habits and provides access to quality fruits and vegetables. Mobile Fresh targets "food deserts", geographic areas where supermarkets are few and far between. FSA Mobile Fresh focuses on serving seniors with limited mobility and low-income families. Mobile Fresh impacts nearly 25,000 families in Riverside and San Bernardino counties.

Since 1953, Family Service Association has served communities in Southern California with a variety of human service programs including: Child Development, Child Abuse Prevention, Trauma Informed Counseling, Senior and Community Centers, Senior Housing, and Senior Nutrition. Family Service is a not-for-profit social service organization dedicated to meeting the changing needs of families and communities in Riverside County and San Bernardino County regardless of income, ethnicity, gender or socio-economic status. We envision a day when Inland Empire communities have strong families without poverty, hunger or health disparities.
