Who should apply:

Someone who has NYC event planning experience and has done events of 300 or more people. (Requirement: must have done NYC charity events and know the ins and outs of a silent auction!)
When

It’s flexible! We can work with your schedule, but you will need to be available all day and evening on Oct. 26th, the date of our Gala. And you will need to spend a day or part of a couple of days in our office soon for orientation.

Maya’s Hope is a 501(c)3 organization that is dedicated to improving the lives of orphaned, special needs, and disenfranchised children on a global scale.

We are looking for that special person who has experience recruiting, training and supervising volunteers for a New York City Gala. We have great volunteers; we just need you to organize their efforts to help make our annual Gala spectacular! This is our biggest fundraising event of the year and the cuties we help depend on its success.

This is a part-time volunteer position that involves working both onsite and virtually. You should know how to use spreadsheets and google calendar in order to organize and schedule volunteer hours.

If you have the Gala background, organizational and leadership skills, and enthusiasm we need for this important position, please send the following:

If you are a suitable candidate, we will contact you and please be prepared to provide three references who have worked with you at a charity gala. If you do not have experience with charity galas and silent auctions, you will not be considered.
