On August 21st, Heaven & Life Foundation partnering with Jackson Park Ministries invites volunteers to help with their Back to School Bash, a program designed to give school supplies to children in need. This is our 2nd Annual Back 2 School Bash. The event is entirely volunteer-driven, so parents, teachers, and students are all encouraged to sign up to help.
Between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Monday, August 21st, 30 volunteers are needed at Jackson Park Ministries. Possible jobs include setting up, transporting youth to the event, manning tables, directing students, and distributing supplies. There are no special requirements for volunteers, so any and all help is appreciated. For students, this is also an excellent opportunity to obtain summer credit hours. The event will last from 4-8pm setup time will be from 4-5pm as well as transporting youth to Jackson Park. From 5-7pm we feed our youth and give away school supplies with the remaining time spent having fun. Last, is transporting youth home and clean up from 7-8pm.

Heaven And Life Foundation is a non - profit organization that keeps children and teens living in the urban community away from crime and off the streets by providing them with positive activities after school and during the summer. We provide children and teens with a safe place to learn, play and grow.
Description
Our mission consist of three very important objectives. First we focus on giving the children something to do in their spare time in a safe and educational environment. We inspire them with Art, Music, Dance, Sports and Education. Second we focus on teaching young adults how to avoid trouble, how to deal with everyday situations, how to stay positive in a negative environment and how to become successful working adults. Third if children or young adults make the error of getting in trouble we offer them resources and tools to counsel them and work intensively with them in every aspect to prevent them from making the same error over and over again.
