Heartland Hospice cares for patients who are at the end of their lives in both facilities and in home environments. We would love to have musicians who can sing or play instruments to visit with patients and provide music enrichment to a very appreciative audience. Many of our patients are former choir members, musicians or just appreciative of music and would benefit from your time. Please consider sharing your talents!
About Heartland Hospice
4505 Falls of Neuse Rd., Suite 650, Raleigh, NC 27609, US
At Heartland Hospice we promise... - to care for the mind, body, and spirit in a way that is comforting and compassionate - to be the difference in our customer's day, working to make every connection a personal one and creating memorable moments that define their Heartland experience - to discover what is important to our customers, respect their choices, and customize our services specifically to meet their needs - to be leaders in care delivery, corporate responsibility, and community action
Our Volunteers are the hearts of Heartland Hospice. No task is too big or too small. A skilled team of staff and volunteers cater to the control of medical, social, psychological, and spiritual symptoms of our patients and families living with a terminal illness. Volunteers bring comfort to patients and their families through their work in various areas such as friendly visitor, caregiver relief sitting, special projects, bereavement, pet therapy, cosmetology, vigil, and memory catchers. There are volunteer opportunities to comfort, attend to, share a laugh, reassure, do something creative, treasure a memory, or spend quite time at a patent's bedside - just being there so a patient never feels alone. Volunteer work is varied. As a Heartland Hospice volunteer you can donate as much or as little of your time as you desire, we are flexible to meet your scheduling needs. Volunteers come specifically to Heartland Hospice for different reasons. Most volunteers express a desire to "give back" for a kindness they experienced within their lives.
You have not lived until you have done something for someone who can never repay you!
We'll work with your schedule.
