Relay For Life
Join us in the fight against cancer!

We are looking for 10 volunteers to help American Cancer Society in our efforts to increase awareness about our local programs, services, and Relay For Life events during the Los Gatos Music in the Park summer concert finale. We have been graciously offered space from one of the Los Gatos Music in the Park event sponsors.

Volunteers will help with setting up, staffing a table with information and a raffle area, helping with fundraising at the event, and cleaning up after the event.

This is a great opportunity to enjoy some music and a free concert in the park, learn more about American Cancer Society, and volunteer a few hours of your time to a cause that affects way too many people around the world.

Here at the American Cancer Society, our vision is a world free from the pain and suffering of cancer. From research to education, prevention to diagnosis, and treatment to recovery, we provide support to everyone impacted by cancer. Together with millions of supporters, we empower communities worldwide to join us.

Please contact Evan Frazer at 408-688-0104 or evan.frazer@cancer.org for more information.

Mission Statement

The American Cancer Society is the nationwide community-based voluntary health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem by preventing cancer, saving lives, and diminishing suffering from cancer, through research, education, advocacy and service.

Description

The American Cancer Society Relay For Life is a life-changing event that gives everyone in communities across the globe a chance to celebrate the lives of people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against the disease. This is the signature event of the American Cancer Society and the largest community activity of its kind. At Relay, teams of people camp out at a local high school, park, field, or fairground and take turns walking or running around a track or path. Each team is asked to have a representative on the track at all times during the event. Relays are 24-hour overnight events to represent the fact that cancer never sleeps.
