ORGANIZATION: BLUE HERON NATURE PRESERVE INC

  • 6 people are interested

The Blue Heron Nature Preserve has recently started collecting data on the aquatic life in both Mill Creek and Nancy Creek which both run through the Preserve. Our Aquatic Life Intern, Marcy Scott, is looking for a few volunteers to help her survey the creeks for fish.

The process includes walking the creeks with a kick seine net and identifying and measuring the fish caught. This is a fun and unique volunteer opportunity, and be prepared to get wet!

The specific schedule is still TBD but the catching of the fish will generally happen between mid September and mid November. If you're interested please contact Brooke at brookev@bhnp.org.
