The Blue Heron Nature Preserve is looking to engage the community of the Atlanta/Buckhead/Sandy Springs area. If you live near the Nature Preserve, and love walking through healthy, beautiful trails and habitats, consider volunteering to pick-up trash around the park. In addition to trash pick-up, we're looking for volunteers to service our dog waste bins in two locations on the property.
Both bins around the Preserve need to be serviced about every two weeks. If you'd like to adopt one or both to help us with this task, please contact Brooke at brookev@bhnp.org.

The Blue Heron Nature Preserve 501(c)(3) is a nonprofit organization which manages a 30-acre greenspace located in north Atlanta in partnership with the City of Atlanta Parks Department. The Preserve was founded in 2000 with the vision of being a haven for nature in an urban environment. Our mission is to create a personal experience in nature for everyone through engagement, preservation, education, research and advocacy.
